Don't be an asp

Day 60 & 61: Trust yourself; Do stuff & live life. I was going to post a photo of one of the many garter snakes I've encountered while hiking, for the sake of the pun point. Because life has plenty of people who are asps - I've certainly been bitten by a few! But the sweet trillium is the better focal point because the asps are certainly outnumbered by the many average to good people just living life the best they can. Timing is important - trillium are in full beauty for a very short window of time. If you don't make the effort to get out there you will miss them entirely.

I suppose the same is true for new friends. If you don't get out there and DO something you will miss your opportunity to meet those good people who might become good friends. Don't be shackled by the news streams that make the world look like a horrible place. Don't let the asps make you trail-shy. Trust yourself to spot and avoid the asps so you can go enjoy the trillium and all the other gorgeous flowers. Certainly you'll still encounter the occasional asp - they exist - but there are far more beautiful flowers to enjoy. Take your courage out for some exercise.
